What is cork fabric or leather?

After being harvested, the cork is left to dry in the open air for six months. Then it is boiled and steamed to get even more elasticity. It is then heated and pressed to turn it into a compact block, which is shaved into thin flexible and resistant sheets.

Its natural treatment preserves all the natural properties of cork. The production of cork leather is chemical free. Only water, heat and elbow grease!
